本標(biāo)準(zhǔn)規(guī)定了用于無縫鋼管和埋弧焊除外的焊接鋼管縱向和/或橫向缺欠的全圓周自動(dòng)超聲橫波(由常規(guī)或相控陣技術(shù)產(chǎn)生)檢測的要求。
除非采購方在合同中特別要求，否則采用的方法一般是縱向缺欠的檢測。
在進(jìn)行縱向缺欠檢測時(shí)，制造商也可自行決定采用蘭姆波進(jìn)行檢測。
對(duì)于無縫管，由供需雙方協(xié)商同意，本標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的檢測原理可以用于檢測其他方向的缺欠。
本標(biāo)準(zhǔn)適用于外徑不小于6mm且外徑與壁厚之比不小于5的鋼管的超聲檢測。對(duì)于外徑與壁厚之比小于5的鋼管縱向缺欠檢測見附錄A。
